At Rossbach & O'Connor, we have assisted hundreds of students to be successful over the years through our educational consulting. We have a thorough understanding of the processes required and provide an independent perspective on each college you consider, ensuring your selection is based solely on your strengths, needs and goals. As members of IECA, we are held to the highest standards for educational consulting and are constantly expanding our base of knowledge through conferences, workshops and visits to colleges and admissions offices.

For 16 years, Ann has worked with a diverse group of students, assisting each in confidently engaging in the college application process. With years of community college classroom instruction in reading, English and study skills, a master’s degree in teaching, and a genuine interest in guiding adolescents and young adults to success, Ann’s experience lends itself keenly to helping students on their educational journey.
She was also elected to two Boards of Education, serving for 15 years, 12 as president. She is trained in mediation and English as a Second Language (ESL). She is a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), having served as the Association’s president and now serves as its Foundation president. Ann is also an instructor at the University of California (Irvine), teaching the Fundamentals of Educational Consulting in their certificate program for independent consulting. She is part of the American Institute of Certified Educational Planners (AICEP) and a member of NACAC, SACAC and the Learning Disabilities Association; she presents regularly at conferences. As a member of the Character Collaborative, Ann integrates these values into her work with adolescents. Her membership and leadership in these groups entitle her to timely updates on educational trends and the ability to network with professionals across the globe.

Margot is an expert at assisting students and families as they navigate the college admissions journey. She helps her students find schools and programs that fit their needs and supports them throughout the application process. She brings her strong research and storytelling skills to her role as an educational consultant as well as a keen understanding of adolescents. She takes a personalized approach to working with students and greatly enjoys seeing them grow and mature throughout this experience.
Margot is a graduate of Georgetown University and earned her JD from Fordham University. Before working as an education consultant, Margot worked as an attorney specializing in commercial litigation. She was also a television producer for CBS News and Court TV, where she worked on live court proceedings such as the OJ Simpson and the Michael Jackson trials.
Margot earned her certificate in Educational Consulting from UC Irvine in the fall of 2018. She is a Professional Member of our national association, the IECA, attending annual conferences and professional webinars on a regular basis. Margot has also qualified as a member of the American Institute of Certified Educational Planners. The AICEP only invites the most experienced counselors for membership, and Margot went through a rigorous admissions process to achieve this highest level of competence in our educational consulting profession. She is also a member of the NJACAC, the New Jersey Association for College Admission Counseling.
Margot makes her commitment to her professional development a priority in her practice. She regularly visits colleges around the country to learn about new programs and the culture on different campuses. By visiting colleges and speaking with admissions representatives, Margot is learning about the characteristics of colleges and universities and is best able to advise students and families.

Marion graduated from Villanova University with a BS in Education and Georgian Court University with a Masters in Administration, Supervision, and Curriculum Development with a Management specialty. Marion worked in public school education in Jackson and Fair Haven, NJ for over 16 years in various roles. She was a 7th grade teacher of all subjects, an elementary and middle school Spanish teacher, a district level administrator, and an elementary school principal. Marion has deep knowledge of school-based curriculum and the inner workings of K-12 schools as well as strengths for problem solving, decision making and collaborating with students and parents.
Marion earned a certificate in Independent Educational Consulting from UC Irvine in August of 2020 and is a member of IECA.

Programs vary in their level of services and expertise, and we can guide you to the most appropriate support. Often, these programs require additional applications and interviews, and we will help you with all this as well.
